Royal Talens has been a leading manufacturer and supplier of painting and drawing materials since 1899. From its own production facility, the company develops and produces a wide range of more than 6,500 products that are used worldwide by artists, designers and creative professionals. The organisation is managed from a modern and sustainable headquarters and factory in Apeldoorn. This new building forms the heart of the company and has been designed with a strong focus on sustainability, efficiency and long-term future readiness.

As Royal Talens states:

“The new sustainable headquarters and factory of Royal Talens in Apeldoorn are ready for the future. Our new factory and offices were designed with sustainability and efficiency as the starting point. The entire building is powered by 1,500 solar panels that generate electricity for both production and the charging of electric vehicles. Ground energy provides heating in winter and cooling in summer. Rainwater is efficiently infiltrated into the soil, while native trees and plants preserve the green landscape without the need for irrigation or fertilisers. Thanks to these sustainable initiatives, the building has received the BREEAM Excellent certification. With its innovative design and applied technologies, Royal Talens aims to become one of the most environmentally conscious paint factories in Europe.”

For this new working environment, Vepa supplied the furniture for both the office areas and supporting workspaces. Solutions from Vepa and Be by Béta were selected to align with the sustainable ambitions of Royal Talens while contributing to a comfortable and functional workplace. The interior therefore forms a natural extension of the innovative and future-focused character of the new building.
