Giving used furniture a new life? At Vepa, we prove it’s possible – with our Fair Furnished label.
Fair Furnished is the quality label for refurbished office furniture that gets a second, third or even fourth life through our Circular Centre. We work brand-independently and guarantee that every product meets – or even exceeds – the quality of the original, often thanks to the use of more sustainable materials.
With the Fair Furnished label, we promise the following:
- Furniture is professionally refurbished in the most sustainable furniture factory in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom
- We create extra employment opportunities for people with a distance to the labour market (SROI)
- Proven lowest environmental impact during production and in projects (LCA/MKI)
- We use the most sustainable materials and components available
- We deliver at least the same quality as new – often even better – including full factory warranty

Akaba Gorka
The back and seat of the Akaba Gorka are easy to disassemble. The shell was given a new colour in our wood-spray shop and the frame was epoxied again in our metal-spray shop. As a result, the chair once again suits a new and contemporary interior.

This is a simple chair with few components, which makes it quick and easy to revitalise.
These are just two examples of the numerous designs we have already refurbished. By now we have a lot of experience and know what is and is not possible for most models. However, sometimes we also have to deal with unfamiliar models. Before we get started, we always check whether or not a refurbishment is feasible.
