Eduwiek

Eduwiek in Hoogeveen is a unique educational concept: special and regular secondary education have joined forces. The Roelof van Echten College, Renn4, Ambiq and Onderwijscentrum De Twijn have found their place in this unique building. The physical boundaries between partners have disappeared, making it possible to offer every child suitable education, care and guidance. LIAG architects and construction consultants have translated this unique educational concept into fresh, robust building with a soft appearance.

The new build houses different students and forms of education, all working according to the same educational concept. The motto of the school and the general principle of the design of the building is as follows: ‘together wherever possible, seperate if necessary‘. Every school within the building has its own space but all knowledge and facilities are shared. This way, the education and guidance on offer is available to each and every student.
