Mediahuis Noord is a publisher of several daily and weekly newspapers and magazines in the Netherlands, including the Dagblad van het Noorden and the Leeuwarder Courant. This location in the city of Leeuwarden brings the various editorial departments together on a single floor.
A once outdated building has been transformed into a contemporary workplace that retains the feel of newspaper editing. The industrial ceilings and hanging plants combined with the colour palette of the furniture create an atmospheric and warm ‘clubhouse’ look. The entire turnkey project was handled by dealer Probir and designed by Bert van der Grift.
Sustainable products such as the Vepa Felt chair and Timber table were deliberately chosen. The Whale Boardroom Table, the Whale Tail Chair and the Barnacle lamps from the Plastic Whale by Vepa collection were also selected because of their sustainability. These products are made using plastic from the Amsterdam canals.
The Vepa Patchwork-range is also well suited to this hybrid working environment.
